Conversational English in a school setting
(Code : D1-b-26)
Kontext / Contexte
Are you a teacher that needs to use English in a school environment but are not comfortable doing so? This is the course for you. To be clear, this is NOT an English class! We will not go through the rules of English, we will ‘use’ English and give you the tools to deal with English when talking to students, teachers and parents.
The intention of this class is to help teachers become competent in using English in a professional and conversational setting.

Arbeitsformen / Approche méthodologique
This course will be "practically" driven to maximise participant involvement with conversational English. The practical aspects will be formulated through case studies and presentations which will be used for formative feedback.
The course will be split into three online sessions of two hours each. The first part of the sessions will involve prepared presentations and case studies for the participant to use English. The second part of the sessions will involved ‘spontaneous’ talks where the participants are given a school-related subject and they must talk about the subject for a few minutes. Every part will involve peer and instructor feedback.
