Inhalt / Contenu
This workshop explores the impact on teaching and learning of the rapid development and availability of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT. The workshop will combine a brief introduction focusing on how Large Language Models (LLM) generate answers to queries and interact with users with an open panel discussion of the (new) challenges and opportunities artificial intelligence poses for educators. We are specifically interested in exchanging best practices and approaches to helping students in both secondary and higher education to navigate this new reality.

Arbeitsformen / Approche méthodologique
For the purposes of this workshop, we posit that ‘AI is here to stay’, and that we need to find a balance between regulation (legislation) and self-regulation (promoting AI literacy) in this domain. The open panel discussion chosen as a methodology for this workshop is intended to initiate an open exchange of ideas about how to deal with generative AI tools in everyday teaching situations.
