Introduction to work organisation and essential competences at the EIGT

Kontext / Contexte

The Ecole internationale Gaston Thorn opens for the first time in September 2022 with a new team coming from different countries and school systems. This offer provides the whole team with an introduction to the organisation of work at the EIGT and to essential competences in terms of digital programmes and social emotional awareness.

Zielsetzung / Objectifs

Knowledge
The participants will know:
- the application of the program Webuntis
- the use of tablets in daily school use
- the specificity of evaluation in public European schools
- the program SEL (social emotional learning) introduced by Centre pour le développement socio-émotionnel.

Know-how
The participants will able to:
- use the Webuntis programme in everyday life
- use the tablet as a creative tool in the classroom
- evaluate the assessments of the students in an accurate way
- integrate activities and topics concerning social emotional learning into the lessons.

Posture
The participants will:
- be more self-confident to apply blended learning in their classrooms
- be aware how they can integrate social emotional learning into everyday interaction.

Inhalt / Contenu

- Introduction into Webuntis and its applications
- practical examples of how to use the tablet in a clever way
- explanations on students' assessments and the evaluation system
- presentation of the programme SEL (social emotional learning)
- introduction to the functioning of European public schools.
