"Gender4STEM in Action" Closing Event
(Code : D2-b-65)
Kontext / Contexte
Women in Digital Luxembourg (www.wide.lu) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) (www.list.lu), with the support of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (www.fnr.lu) and in collaboration with IFEN (www.ifen.lu), organise this conference as part of the project Erasmus+ Gender 4 STEM (www.gender4stem-project.eu/).
The Gender4STEM Teaching Assistant (https://edu.gender4stem-project.eu/), is a toolbox platform specifically developed for secondary-level teachers (especially in STEM), schools' psychologists and career advisors, head of teachers, schools' directors…
Helped with the Gender4STEM self-assessment tool, the platform allows them to find out how gender fair their teaching is and access personalised recommendations of teaching materials they can experiment, stepping up their gender-fairness to improve their teaching.
The Gender4STEM platform was launched at the beginning of 2019. Luxembourg teachers had the opportunity to participate in the associated hands on training for experimenting the concrete platform and its teaching materials.
The closing event conference aims to promote the use of the Gender4STEM Teaching Assistant among professionals of secondary level education, through the platform’s demonstration, feedback testimonials and interactive sessions.
